Being a Doll, Giving a Doll...

Again, this year, The DC Dolls announce their partnership with the Homeless Children Playtime Project and The Black Doll Affair. Dolls, this holiday season, geared up and delivered the gift of LOVE, the spirit of Happy Childhood Memories, and a message of BEAUTY with the tool of a toy black doll!

I reminded this little girl of her beauty and she excitedly accepted my "Walking Wendy" at the DC General Emergency Family Hypothermia Shelter! ♥

Dolls that we collected throughout the year to give away...
The mission of the Homeless Children's Playtime Project is to nurture healthy child development and reduce the effects of trauma among children living in temporary housing programs in the District of Columbia.
The DC. General Emergency Family Hypothermia Shelter is the largest family shelter in D.C. and is the first stop for many families seeking shelter. Because of the high need, it is open beyond the hypothermia season, and in March 2010, there were 400 children and their families living there, double last year’s capacity.

Being a member of the Black Doll Affair allows me to continue to spread a message of reminding little girls of their beauty, make a difference, make an Impact and "Be a Doll, give a doll!" I cannot wait to do this again on Thursday...
