The town of 16,000 has long been popular with British and European celebrities--among them, the London-born Charlie Chaplin, who lived for 25 years in the neighboring village of Corsier-sur-Vevey (where he was buried after his death in 1977). Chocolate, baby formula, and other foods also play a role in Vevey's prosperity: Nestlé was founded here, and the company's international headquarters in Vevey has 1,600 employees from more than 70 countries.
On my way to Beau Site to catch the train with friends, I saw this cat catch a mouse right in front of my eyes! It made me miss Boobie, my cat... :)
Starbucks is everywhere! Prices in Switzerland are way more expensive. I paid $7.50 for a tall Caramel Macchiato. Whew!
The wine festival was extremely festive! I saw so many new things and took pictures of it all. LOL...
With Tom, Megan and Megan! ;)
With a very patriotic Portugese man... he gave me free samples of candy and herbs.
When people attended the festival, they would pay 9 Franks for a small wine glass (like the one pictured). Afterwards, they could taste all of the wines offered at the festival as many times as they desired. I did not taste any...
Clouds sat right on top of the mountains! This was too cool to see in person.
The couple (above) cooked caramel (below) right before our eyes!
This man tried to save my soul with these tracts!

Pama accompanied us during the festival...
Swans in Lake Geneva
If I ever lived in Switzerland, one of these two cars would be mine! :) The pink needs a few rhinestones though... lol!
We had a beautiful picnic, with the best lunch food I had since I have been here, right on the lake. Rotisserie chicken, vegetables, black berries, cherries, Swiss bread and Gruyere cheese! Mmmm...
This was the biggest pot of cooking food I have ever seen in my life!
Megan x2 and I :)
Enjoying Lake Geneva
We ended the day with dinner at the Linx bar. I had ribs, fries and ice cream. I attempted hot chocolate, but apparently the Swiss use less sugar! Not for me... :)
