Out of 60 nominations, I was chosen as one of the winners for the Good Neighbor Award. The top winners were photographed for the annual March Funeral Home 2009 calendar. 60,000 copies were be made and distributed throughout Virginia and Maryland. I am so blessed to have received this award and to have had the opportunity to have met Devon Howard, such a wonderful and well-spoken, young advocate. However, the real reward is when a victim of sexual abuse comes forward and says they finally told someone because of my inspiration... I thank God for all things!
