Operation Christmas Child through Samaritan's Purse

Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God’s love. Since 1993, more than 61 million shoe boxes have been packed, shipped, and delivered across the globe. People of all ages can be involved in this simple, hands-on missions project while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas—Jesus Christ.

I purchased several toys, school supplies, hygiene items, candy and cards for the girls in my Queendom program to use to help wrap and pack shoe boxes for this cause. My Queendom girls completed this task with a loving readiness and purpose. I was so proud of to have their help. As a result, we prepared 23 gift boxes for boys and girls from ages 2 to 14 years old.

I delivered the bags of gifts to His Way Christian Book Store for shipping. There I met Donna Metcalf, the organizer of this operation, who was happy to receive a large quantity of gifts.

I also met a local Girl Scouts troop who helped to prepare the shipping of the gifts. They were so excited to take a picture with me and I was honored to be able to help.
