Boys to Men Gala

Tonight Stop the Silence: Stop Child Sexual Abuse celebrated with Big Sis & Co. as they were helping young men grow into great men and future leaders. They had approximately 20 young men between the ages of 12-21 participate and given a certificate for completing the Empowerment Day which took place earlier today.

Other special guests were the 2010 DC Mayor Candidate Leo Alexander, Maryland State Delegate Candidate Rodney Burriss, PNC Bank, National Organization of Concerned Black Men (Local Chapters), Larry Pretlow II (Founder of ASYEP-DC, Recording Artist) and more! Stop the Silence was one of the beneficiaries of the proceeds of the event along with Sistas United, WEAVE and P.I.AP.

There was entertainment, food, presentations, vendors and a whole lot more to make this evening an AMAZING event!
