Today, I felt that it was it was a blessing to be able to help other people as a "Speaking of Precious" panelist tonight. It dawned on me tonight that my suicide attempt in 2001 was the pivotal point of my life... After describing tonight's experience with my wonderful hubby, he replied, "You and Munir (one of the event attendees who has a nonprofit program called COR for teen males) are two of the most influential people I know--especially in Baltimore." What a compliment--especially from a man that knows me all too well! ;)
