Being asked to judge a pageant is an honor. Contestants work extremely hard to prepare for pageants, and they deserve to be judged by individuals who have an appreciation of the responsibility of their role. A judging panel consisting of individuals who exemplify the qualities of integrity, diligence, fidelity, and open-mindedness will set the stage for a successful event. Judges are entrusted with the power to change a contestant’s life. I am honored to not only have had this opportunity, but also to be a part of such an awesome judging panel!
It was so great to work with such fabulous people! The judges had various and wide backgrounds--highly qualified to do the job! :D This was also my opportunity to meet a cyber friend for the first time in person: Nicole Ortiz, Miss Maryland United States 2009. Also, Alicia Taylor, Miss Maryland United America, joined us! These ladies are so beautiful and encouraging...
I have to say that teen interviews are nothing like what I am used to as a Mrs queen! LOL! However, it was very impressive and heartwarming to see girls who were trying to improve their self-esteem and self-confidence... I pray that they met their goal because they were all beautiful.
I was so glad to be a part of such a wonderful event! By the way, what a great pageant system! Read about it for more info on the Miss Cities of America pageant.
