April 19-25 is National Volunteer Week, and nonprofits all across the nation will be celebrating veteran volunteers, and welcoming new ones.
This week, I salute your accomplishments, and thank you for your dedication to service. Your commitment to feed the hungry, tutor our children, fight debilitating diseases, and so much more, has strengthened our communities, and brightened the lives of the many your kindness has touched.
But National Volunteer Week is not just a time to celebrate volunteers -- it's also a reminder about the importance of service, and an invitation to give back.
Celebrate volunteerism by encouraging your friends and family members to donate their time. Whether they try something on their own, or join in on your activities, show the people in your life the value of volunteering by helping them find a great way to get involved.
Continue to inspire others and be inspired to volunteer this week!
