The Definition of Me...

The following quote, from I Never Told Anyone: Writings of Women Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse, defines me perfectly:

If my survival is to be meaningful at all to me, it must be because it gave me the strength to fight, the will to survive and the empathy to reach out to other women. I am (now) a strong capable, and loving woman partly because of the trauma and despair of the past. Only when you push yourself (or are pushed) to the very limits can you test the strength of your endurance and power.
